bits from our weekend

Friday

here my parents (for the entertainment of us all) are trying to mimic my beautiful
15 year old niece Syd who does this look for all of her self portraits!

my boy is just a little excited to head to Seattle July 30 to watch
the Mariners play the Blue Jays. tickets have arrived now we just
have to make it through the next 10 days

Sunday morning pancakes

Donkersley beach for lunch. the sun wasn't burning us down and it
did rain a little but it didn't stop us

as there was not a lot of sunshine, we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves save for a few older folks

followed up with homemade fresh baked (from fresh picked) blackberry pie a la mode

trying to get back into my old habit of walking the highway to Tla'amin
after supper and meeting Neil and the kids at the park to play

we started The Goonies last night and finished it off tonight.

Yet another great summer weekend, Texada being the highlight. Next weekend is Seafair followed by a trip to Vancity to Playland then on to Seattle to watch a bball game. Can't wait!!!
