"a portrait of, and occasionally a quote from my children, once a week, every week, in 2017"

Jackson: My Dad found this old basketball hoop for free. While it looks pretty beat up it does the job. The other day while we were shopping, Jackson showed up at my side with this net and asked if we could buy it to spruce up the hoop a little. The second we got home, he got to work attaching it and now the games have really begun all for the low price of $7.95!!!

Lily: Desperately trying to peddle as SLOW as she possibly could in hopes of winning the Slow Bike Race at Fun Day. She placed third having to put her foot down before the finish line. Her team, The Green Gators, didn't win this year but we managed the day without a drop of rain so I still consider it a great success.

  1. This is lovely, nice to see the old hoop being put to good use again by a resourceful young man :)

  2. I think having your own basketball hoop is something kids dream of - I bet Jackson loves it! I love the idea of a slow bike race - we're currently trying to teach LP and Little Man the basics of pedalling a bike with stabilisers - AND using the brakes. It's slow going! x
