The first real day of school turned out wonderfully as both kids got the same teachers that they had last year! (Both lovely ladies are now teaching split classes 1/2 split and 3/4 split)  This is a good thing. We LOVE Mrs. Payne and Mrs. Schmunk and for my anxiety ridden little Lily this couldn't have been better. For her, today felt like she'd had a really long break from school and went right back into the class without the load of tears and sadness that the previous two years had given her. She did have nerves don't get me wrong. However today was a far better first day then the first days of Kindergarten and Grade 1. Mrs. Payne even commented on how different last year was and how calm she acted today. I'm grateful for the way things turned out and happy the kids will have another wonderful school year ahead.
