Pass them on

My mom pulled out her recipes today. She's going to visit her brother in Furry Creek and she's going to make him the cookies that their Granny used to make them. They are torn and stained and well used. Tried and true favourites worth going back to. Funny how food can bring you back to places with people who are no longer here to share things with. I'm so grateful my mom has this little yellow box full of treasures to pass along to us. Simple classic recipes that I need to use more often.
