Saturday

Stuart McLean of the Vinyl Cafe came to town again on Saturday night. Neil and I joined our Mom's first for supper out then to the show. It was a different show as he was recording for the radio but wonderful nonetheless. He packed our Evergreen Theatre and even had a mid show Q&A with the audience. John and Roy were his musical guests and were fantastic too. Great night out!

Sunday

We spent some time at the beach/park in Sliammon. It's one
of my favourite spots in Powell River as I've mentioned before.
There is a great totem pole beside the gazebo just at the edge of the ocean and an old
Catholic Church that sits just behind the park. Today was the first
time we had ever heard the church bells and they sounded lovely in the sunshine.

After we left Sliammon, we headed to my parents place
for lunch then headed up to Inland Lake to meet our cousins.
We spent some time around the fire but mostly enjoyed  time
on the dock. Jackson was once again desperate to strip down and jump
in but I purposefully didn't have a change of clothes for him so he
was forced to stay warm and dry other than the dip his feet took.

brrr that's cold Jack

Neil and I had a rough day but it ended well. S.W.A.K.
