they just make the best of everything"
Making me happy this week...
♥Happy mail from the UK from a new and lovely friend Deb from Instagram. I joined a swap at Christmas and sent her a gift. She knew that I never ended up receiving anything so she sent me some lovely Easter goodies. We especially enjoyed the MaltEaster bunnies.
I shared them with the whole family and they were delicious!
♥All my new blog interest is great. The stats some days have been off the charts (☺)and I'm grateful. Hello to my new followers and readers. I hope I can hold your interest and keep you coming back.
♥Game of Thrones has started up again and so far so AWESOME! Are you watching?
Neil and I are hooked!
♥Lily has joined baseball! This is a huge step for my little nervous lady but she is super keen and that makes me so happy. I hesitate to publish this next few sentences but it's too funny not too. We had to go out and buy her a "jill to protect her bits" (the female version of a jock). For little girls it comes with some very cute pink "tighty whities". She was so excited to get home and try on her new gear and immediately stripped down to nothing but the jill. She burst into the bathroom where Neil had just gotten out of the shower and says "Hey daddy, knock on my vagina!!!" Neil didn't know what to say or think. Such innocence but hilarious!!! Oh to be 7 again!
♥Yesterday (April 9) would have been my father-in-law's 70th birthday. I miss him and wish he was around to be with us and to enjoy his grandkids. I know he would've gotten a kick out of them. It's been 12 years already. Happy birthday Al. We love you and miss you always.
As ever, joining in with Jen at Little Birdie

ReplyDeleteHow I wish he was here to teach Lily guitar and listen to Jack go on about hockey and see Trent and Joe and how fast they are growing. I know he'd be proud!
DeleteThanks for posting Jen even though it's a tough week. It's easy to foget that beyond the blog post there lies life. Stay strong and know that you're a role model for the rest of us to focus on the positive - you're touching many lives.

Hi Allison, I hesitated to publish this post with Lily's comment in it but it really was innocent and hilarious at the time. I hope you are right about my Father in Law smiling down. We think of him often and talk about him to the kids all the time. How I'd love for him to be here. xxx
