Take me out to the ball game plus a few from Seattle and area (Summer road trip part 1)

Our latest adventure away from Powell River took us to Seattle and Lynwood last Wednesday. We almost didn't make the baseball game. Our van began overheating at the border at 8:30 in the morning but in typical Jen & Neil fashion, we ignored the problem, pushed on and made it just in time to watch the first pitch. After the game we walked around downtown Seattle for a bit, had some delicious Cheesecake Factory for supper then around 9 travelled north back to our hotel in Everett. Thursday we got up and shopped in Lynwood for back to school clothes plus some fun places like the Lego Store. We ate Mexican then saw The Smurfs 2 in 3D. Friday we did a bit more shopping, had some more Mexican (how about that piece of stringy cheese hanging from Jack's mouth) and headed north again back to Coquitlam to visit some friends. The traffic at the border, getting to the game and downtown Seattle was outrageous but somehow we pulled off the two day trip without having to head to a garage with van troubles. Some coolant in the radiator did the trick and we made it back to Canada. Look for some photos of our time in Vancouver here.
