Link Love 4/100

Back with another Rabbit Hole. It's been awhile but that's very typical of me. It's short but fun. Enjoy!
  • Smore's Dip showed up on my FB feed recently I personally think it's pretty genius for parties or if you just have a craving and can't get to an open fire. It's a crazy sweet treat but how simple can you get if you really want a smore!?!
  • These 25 recipes are also pretty smart for camping or outdoor picnics. Some look better than others but all look pretty simple and fun for the grill or open fire.
  • This is just awesome and becoming very necessary in our house. These conversations are not the most comfortable to have but I want to keep things open and make sure that kids are happy to talk about anything with us anytime. Yikes. How can my babies be so old already.
  • I really like these ideas for water shots. Some I've tried before, lots I'll be experimenting with over the next couple of months.

Link Love 3/100

Hello again with another "The Ultimate Rabbit Hole where we get to share the links we’ve loved over the last week. Because after all, the interwebs are just one long rambly rabbit hole, and once you fall down, it’s just too rabbity-rivetting to leave."

I don't have many links but the few I have are worth a read and a try. Enjoy.

A friend of mine posted this on FB the other day with her status reading  "Women understand. We need each other because life gets hard." I couldn't agree more.

Me and my never ending battle with weight greatly appreciated this article.

No sooner do I mention my weight and post a link to a great read then immediately turn my attention to food and a couple of recipes. Ha! So typical! Do you like cabbage and bacon? If so, I'd recommend this - delicious. And, how about a fun Easter cake to take to supper tomorrow. Super easy and so festive! This bunny cake is also super simple and fun.

I sort of can't believe I'm doing this but I have to recommend this blog for all things hockey. I never had an interest in the sport until my boy started playing but things have obviously changed. Jackson has played for years and I thought these 10 Sanity Tips for Minor Hockey Parents were bang on. Jack's season has ended sort of ugly. Too many parents have gotten too crazy about what is happening on the ice. They are 11 are 12 year old boys and girls. Let them have fun. Yes I'm there cheering on my boy but it is really not the end of the world if we lose. I will never understand the politics associated with minor hockey. Give me a break. Let them play and have fun and get serious when they're older if they chose to.

Link Love 2/100

Back again with another "The Ultimate Rabbit Hole where we get to share the links we’ve loved over the last week. Because after all, the interwebs are just one long rambly rabbit hole, and once you fall down, it’s just too rabbity-rivetting to leave." Thanks for the explanation and link up Sam.

There's a great new site about my town. It's still very new but looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. My FB feed is filled with links to it. Please check it out and discover more reasons to love Powell River!

We tried this for our Oscar supper this year. It was delicious and again, most importantly, simple!

Blog love this week goes out to the beautiful Lyndsay. Cakes, cakes and more. She needs a little love right now so head her way and give it to her.

Have a great weekend! Tonight is a Jackson's final hockey game of the season and his team is playing for first place - very exciting but I honestly can't believe it's over. The sun is supposed to shine all weekend long so I expect we'll be outside a lot enjoying it.

Link Love 1/100

Linking up with my pal Sam at The Annoyed Thyroid this week with a little list of loves and things that caught my eye on the web - something new for me and a little out of my comfort zone but what the hell, why not!?

I thought this post was pretty interesting. I make big efforts to get family shots several times a year especially during holiday. You'll also find me slightly cut off in the corner of a lot of group selfies but otherwise I'm behind the camera not in front of it.

This blog is one of my favourite weekly reads. Alicia Paulson is beyond talented and her beautiful little lady Amelia benefits from her amazing creativity. If you like all things crafty coupled with gorgeous photos and tasty recipes plus glimpses into her wonderful life with her husband Andy, daughter, dog and kitty, check out Posie Gets Cozy. Plus her writing! I love it all. So wonderful in every way!

Alicia recently recommended this recipe and we tried in last Sunday night. Delicious, simple and satisfying.

Is a Crappy Dinner Party for you? I don't know how many times I have told friends/people that if they randomly showed up at my place, we'd most likely head to the beach and not inside the door. My home seems to be in a constant state of disarray and as much as it makes me crazy, it's my reality. I like the idea of this type of party, I just don't know that I could manage.

(Sipreano, if you've made it this far, stop now.)

And finally this, because I (and Lily) love the cheesy cheesiness of the whole thing.

Happy Weekend! We are off to Vancouver Island tomorrow for the day to shop for grad dresses for my niece. How could she possibly be old enough to do such things?!?!
