May in Bloom

I can't decide between May or October as my favourite month. Both are about colour and lots of it.  Sweater weather for a portion of the day only. Lovely and perfect with loads of sunshine. May is fresh and alive. Lush and plentiful new growth green is offset by the rainbow of vibrant and muted shades of flowers everywhere.  The dogwoods are brilliant in both pink and white as are the poppies and peonies in their rich reds and oranges and pale pinks. The smell of lilacs and clematis make my heart sing and there is nothing like a fresh bouquet of Lily of the Valley on your table. May just feels happy.

  1. Love these snaps- those purple-tinged irises are pretty special too. Love the dogwoods too, actually love them all!
