"a portrait of, and occasionally a quote from my children, once a week, every week, in 2016"

Jackson: Pictured here at my desk busy working on one of his last school projects of the year. He is clearly anxious to move on to a new school in September. He teacher said he is a little more talkative in class these days but he also thinks he is very ready to carry on to High School. He sung his praises and told me the entire class is wonderful (top 3 in his 28 years as a teacher) and will certainly be missed.  Poor Jackson showed his emotions as he got into the van after school on Friday. There is only one more floor hockey with the fabulous Mr. Assen left for the school year and it's next week. Jackson couldn't look me in the eye as I could tell he was sad about it. "It's only floor hockey right Mom?"  Tears stung my own eyes. Honestly I'm so soft and I think he's a bit like me. Also this week, he and Lily were walking ahead of me into the grocery store and he stopped her so he could tuck in the tag of her dress in at her collar. Such a thoughtful, loving guy. I love him so much.

Lily: She recently received some scrap leather pieces from a beautiful friend of ours. She has been busy hand sewing purses, vests and baby carriers among other things for her barbies. She's also joined the world of Music-ly and is loving creating music videos.

  1. They both look so grown up in the photo of them together and I love how in both pictures they're both so engrossed in what they're doing x
