Blessed again

Once again I'm feeling beyond blessed to live where we do. This pod delighted us with well over 40 minutes of play just out front of our place this evening around 7:30. I'm just so grateful. They were as close as I've ever seen them just beyond the buoy (picture 3) where only last week the kids were kayaking. We were treated to quite a show tonight and feel very fortunate. What a way to start our last weekend of summer. Hope yours is good too!

STILLS: OUR BEACHY WEEKEND

We have been seriously spoiled with outstanding weather here in Powell River. The sun is shining and HOT so most days (except for the couple days a week when I'm working) you'll find us at the beach. Neil does get to join us once in awhile. Another blessing for me is working only part-time.

This weekend we headed to Palm Beach to have another birthday party for Nana Jane. I'm particularly blessed as my family and Neil's get along so well that we most always have both sides around for any celebration. I think my favourite shot in this batch is my Granny and my Mom in the ocean. We never thought we'd see my Granny enjoying the water again after her stroke a year and a half ago. Amazing!!! We also had a super time at Tom's Cabin on Lois Lake with our cousins and then a fabulous Sunday at Donkersley with friend and family. Summertime is like no other!!

let's go the beach one last time before school starts tomorrow

We headed to Palm Beach today to enjoy the sun and surf one last time before school begins tomorrow. Lots of family and friends came out. We ate, we played frisbee and bocce, we swam and skimmed, we climbed the rocks and threw some and just enjoyed a wonderful day. I am full of gratitude for this lovely end to an amazing summer. Our bodies have been kissed by the sunshine a lot and have colour to show for it. We are so fortunate! Capping today off was Jackson saying when we left the beach what a great summer we have had. I'm glad he feels it too!
