An Afternoon at the Beach

Lately we've been spending a lot of time at the beach. We have been fortunate in our community to have the freedom to get outside and enjoy nature during this global pandemic, a HUGE benefit of living in a small isolated town. On this particular trip we had the entire beach to ourselves for most of the time we were there. We dipped only our toes in the ocean, saw loads of crabs and starfish while eagles flew overhead.  Getting outside clears my head and I'm so grateful to live so close to so many beautiful spots that offer so much to explore.

Blooming Goodness

If blooms don't bring you cheer in a time like this, I don't know what will. I'm so grateful.

Let's Go for a Walk to Myrtle Rocks

Lily and I crunched our way over the shells to Myrtle Rocks at low tide on Saturday. The clouds looked soft and billowy and the sky was the prettiest blue while the sun kissed our cheeks from high above. It was a perfect afternoon to explore the Rocks, something I had never done in my entire life. It felt funny making this little trek wondering why on earth I had never gone before in my 47 years, so simple and fun with loads to explore on the beach on the way over.  To my delight, the Rocks were covered in wildflowers including loads of chocolate lilies. There was beauty at every turn. We explored for an hour or so then returned home with plans to go back sooner than later.
