Oregon

Way back in the beginning of July, we headed south to Cannon Beach in Oregon.  It's a fav place of ours and we try to visit every year or every other year. We certainly have favourite spots and can't go to the area without visiting them.  I suppose we are just creatures of habit.

We stayed once again in a little cabin at the Sea Ranch RV park in Cannon Beach. While it houses us perfectly well, I don't know that we will stay there again. It costs just a little less than a hotel and you have to bring all your own bedding plus the beds really aren't that comfortable. The kids sleep on the bunk bed and we on the futon and once it's folded out, there is zero room. It just feels like more work than necessary for the same cost as getting a room at a hotel with far more space. Next year we will rethink things.

Like I said, we visited our usual spots but also journeyed a little further south this year to Tillamock to the Cheese Factory. It's gotten a whole lot bigger since our last visit years ago. We had a super great lunch, toured the factory and spent too much money in the gift shop on silly things. Back in Cannon Beach, we went to Bruce's Candy Kitchen and Pizza a Feta. We went to Seaside one evening for mexican food and games at Funland. After three great nights, we headed to Portland to see our good friends the Roller's (blurry pic below).
OREGON we love you and look forward to our next visit.

"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2018"

Jackson & Lily: Fulfilling their Mama's wish to take pics at the pumpkin patch. I love my kids! Look for a bigger post very soon with tons of photos. 💗

"a portrait of, and occasionally a quote from my children, once a week, every week, in 2017"

Jackson & Lily: Tragically all I have this week is iPhone shots and blurry ones at that.  Jackson had something every single night including umping for the younger kids, 3on3 as well as his own baseball games. Lily and I went away for a couple of days then returned for the  long weekend which was full of bbq's and activities. Life has been a little crazy but wonderful.

Grateful

They fill my heart like nothing else can. I glad they are still willing participants for my constant requests for photos. Jackson certainly isn't as keen these days but continues to indulge me and I'm so grateful. Sometimes I bribe them with a treat but for the most part they are happy to have a few minutes of smiles and silliness for my camera.
