11&12/52

We were away last week and although I had access to a computer, I chose to stay away. It was a nice break and as a result, two weeks of portraits in one post. It's a real mix this week - three shots were taken with my Canon and three with my iPhone. Tragically my favourite shot, the one of Lily walking away from me towards the daff's in stolen from my snapchat! I can't believe I didn't take a real shot with my good camera! Next year for sure! Enjoy!

Week 11
"a portrait of, and occasionally a quote from my children, once a week, every week, in 2016"

Jackson: Accepting the MVP for the third game of his away tourney in Comox. He scored several nice goals and had a super weekend with his team. They ending up winning the gold and were super pumped especially after the lousy season they had.

Lily: She once again completed and passed Level 5 in swimming lessons. We took some time off and she didn't want to try Level 6 again as she hadn't been in lessons for close to a year. Her teacher said she really should've been there as she is such a good swimmer but she was glad to have the refresher and repeat of Level 5. She will try for 6 in early April.

Finally, the together shot is them on the last day of school before we began Spring Break. Gleeful and thrilled to have no school for 16 days!!!

Week 12
Jackson & Lily: Posing for endless shots for their Mama in the beautiful fields of daffodils of the Skagit Valley. We even managed some sunshine. It was chilly and there weren't many tulips out yet but our time there was as lovely as last year. I think this is a new tradition for our family. Two years in a row and hoping to go back again next year. Check out 2015's shots here and more of the area here and look for a longer flower filled post to come later this week.
