52 weeks of happy 31/52

"The happiest people don't have the best of everything,
they just make the best of everything"
Making me happy this week...
♥Peace poetry. Both my kids won third place in Powell River for their Peace poems and are now published authors in a book called Tell Me a Story of Peace. I think they are hilariously wonderful and every time I read them I smile. "19 people doing art" is peace for sure.

♥Swap gifts. I signed up for a swap on IG and was given a partner ages ago. We finally got around to exchanging gifts. Thanks Julie Weir. I loved it all and feel spoiled rotten!

♥Homemade Father's Day. The kids outdid themselves this year. Lily made Neil a super fantastic card and an amazing watercolour of him as well as a clay handprint. My Jack painted him the picture and made him a mug for tea but most likely his pens.
These gifts are priceless and will be treasured forever.

As always, joining the lovely Jen over at Little Birdie.

  2. The poems are great - it will be interesting to look back on them in the years to come and see how their views change. I hope they keep doing these poems every year. Neil got a landslide on Father's Day - so much creativity and talent. You guys must both be so proud of Jack and Lily. Awesome post!
