30/52 - Watching the Blue Jays Edition

"a portrait of, and occasionally a quote from my children, once a week, every week, in 2015"

Jackson: Happy again to travel to Seattle to watch his team the Blue Jays vs. The Mariners. This time around he even made the televised broadcast as he raced up the stairs eager and hopeful to get an autograph from a player during batting practice. No such luck but he was still thrilled to be there and desperate to go for the Saturday and Sunday games too. Next year we will plan to see them all for sure.

Lily: Along for the ride really. While not super keen to watch the actual game, she was certainly easily entertained with all that was going on. We had a few walks around the stadium, busied her with a extra large snow cone and a plastic helmet worth of natchos. She had the experience and loved the fireworks at the end of the game. All positive even if I had to carry around a overpacked bag of dolls, books and stuff to colour with that turned out in the end all to be unnecessary! :)

Again this week, loads of highly entertaining conversations while making the long drive from Powell River to Seattle but nothing written down except this... Obviously we listened to lots of radio while we were driving. At one point the announcer was going on about Franz Schubert and how he wrote 600 songs and how amazing it was. Suddenly, from the back of the van, Lily shouts "I'm gonna beat you Schubert. I'm gonna write 601 songs! Boo ya!"
