An afternoon at Donkersley Beach

Yesterday we headed to Donkersley Beach with some friends and our cousin. The sun was high, the tide was low and the water temperature for swimming was awesome. We made castles in the sand, the boys skimmed, we ate some treats and played for hours. The beach is loaded with things to see - crabs big and small, jelly fish, starfish and sand dollars too. Donkersley is summertime perfection.

Pierced Wonderings

  1. That looks like a wonderful time--lovely scenery and the smiles are fabulous! It's amazing what you can find near the water.

  2. Oh man! We have a beach just half a mile or so away, but it isn't as lovely - or biodiverse as yours! How much fun did y'all have? This reminds me that Sweet Husband really hasn't taken me to the beach yet this summer. I think he's going to need to remedy that quickly - perhaps tomorrow as we have plans for this afternoon/evening.

I'm not so much a fan of the jelly fish. Here during early June or so, all of the little tiny jellyfish are in the water. It took me a long time to figure out what that stinging sensation under my suit was - baby jellyfish. Ugh.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos with us again this week at Photo Friday!

  4. These photos are just lovely! I love going down to the beach and just getting away from it all for a few hours. I love the shot of the jellyfish. - Tasha
