37/52

"a portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2020"

Jackson: His last first day. Grade 12!!! I totally cried. His year looks very different than we anticipated. He has decided to enrol in the Culinary Arts Program so won't be going to the actual school for anything this year. He will do English 12 online on Monday's and then be working/learning in a local place Tuesday-Friday for the entire school year. Very weird but what he wants. He definitely has an interest in cooking so I'm hopeful he will have a wonderful final year of school. So far he has no plans to go on to University or College next year but then so much can change over the year so we will see.

Lily: Her first day of Grade 10 was a couple of days after her brothers. She starts at 10:30am everyday rather than his 8am start and begins with an online Socials course and then attends an in person Math class every afternoon. Everything is so crazy this year with Covid. Our fingers are crossed that it all works out. Online isn't really her thing but she will try her best this semester. Fortunately it only goes to mid November and then she will begin two other courses.
